2 motorcycles, one scooter stolen in Ludhiana

Two motorcycles and one scooter were stolen from different areas in the city while thieves broke open windowpane of a parked car and managed to take away one laptop along with important documents.

In the first case a Hero Splendor motorcycle (bearing registration No. UP-51Z-7540) was reportedly stolen from Dholewal. The complainant, Durgesh Pandey, a resident of Kot Mangal Singh, an employee of a finance company in Dholewal, stated that he parked bike outside his office in the morning. When he came out in the evening, his two-wheeler was missing. The police have registered a case under Section 379, IPC.

In the second case, Kuldeep Singh, a resident of Partap Nagar, reported theft of his Bajaj Platina motorcycle (bearing registration No. PB-10FB-0831) from the DMC boys’ hostel parking on Saturday. The complainant, a construction worker, said he parked his two-wheeler in the hostel parking on Saturday morning. When he came back after finishing his work, the motorcycle had disappeared.

In the third case, an Activa scooter (bearing registration No. PB-10ER-7612) was reportedly stolen from Dugri, Phase-I market, on August 20. The complainant, Gurmeet Singh, a resident of Nirmal Nagar, stated that he had parked his scooter in the parking lot of the market from where it was stolen by some unknown person. The police have registered a case under Section 379, IPC, and started investigation.

In the fourth case, thieves broke open one of the front windowpanes of a car (bearing registration No. HR-20-AE-6925) parked in a street adjoining Gagan Photostat in Ghumar Mandi and took away one bag containing an HP laptop, documents of the vehicle, including RC and insurance, and some other important papers. The police have registered a case under Section 379, IPC, and started probe.
