Ludhiana: Two motorcycles and one scooter was stolen from different places in the city on Sunday. A new Hero Splendour Plus motorcycle was stolen from outside a dispensary in Grain Market at Partap Singhwala. Ram Sahai, resident of Dashmesh Nagar, Ayali, lodged a complaint with police that his son had parked the motorcycle duly locked outside the dispensary from where it was stolen. A Hero HF Deluxe motorcycle (PB-10EP-1418) was stolen from Ghumar Mandi. Owner of the motorcycle Vinod Kumar, resident of Harnam Nagar, said in a complaint to the police that he had parked the two-wheeler outside a sanitary goods shop but when he came back after some time, it was missing. Naresh Kumar, resident of Pink Flats, Rajguru Nagar, lodged a complaint with the police about the theft of his Activa scooter (PB-10FZ-5945), which he had parked at Sabzi Mandi, near Lodhi Club. The police have registered cases under Section 379 of the IPC. OC
Yarn stolen from truck
Ludhiana: Thieves stole 14 boxes of yarn from a truck parked in Transport Nagar while the driver was asleep in the driver’s cabin. Truck driver Dharam Raj, resident of village Takwas Pagdandi in Rajasthan, lodge a complaint with the police saying that he had loaded 258 boxes of yarn in his truck (RJ-SB06-5805) from Banswara in Rajasthan for delivery in Ludhiana. “When I was asleep inside the driver’s cabin during night, thieves took away 14 boxes of yarn from the truck,” he said. The police have registered a case under Sections 379 of the IPC. OC
