Three players, trainees of the Ludhiana Basketball Academy (LBA), have been selected to represent the country in the FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers (Window-2) scheduled to be held at Manama in Bahrain from November 24 to December 1.
Teja Singh Dhaliwal, honorary general secretary, Punjab Basketball Association (PBA), said Jagdeep Singh Bains, Amjyot Singh Gill and Princepal Singh had found berths in the national basketball team announced by the Basketball Federation of India to take part in the upcoming competition.
RS Gill, former DGP, Punjab, and president, PBA, Yurinder Singh Hayer, senior vice-president of the association, JP Singh, MS Bhullar, PS Bhandal, Balkar Singh Brar, Arjuna award winner Suman Sharma and Darshan Singh (vice-presidents), besides Sukhbir Dhaliwal and Brij Goyal, secretary and treasurer, respectively, of the District Basketball Association, Ludhiana, hailed their selection into the national squad.
