Nearly 300 students of various wings of Good Earth Convent Senior Secondary School were felicitated during the 10th two-day annual function ‘Excelsior’ that concluded at the school campus in Siahar village near here today. Those felicitated included 250 participants and achievers in various fields.

Former director of IAS Training Center, Patiala, and Chairman of Global Punjab Foundation Dr Harjinder Pal Singh Walia, former bureaucrat G K Singh, Ahmedgarh DSP Rajan Sharma and Prof Amarjit Singh Prag chaired various sessions.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
