Ludhiana, July 2

Thirtyone persons tested positive for Covid in Ludhiana district on Saturday.

A total of 1,10,500 persons have tested positive in the district and 2,293 persons have lost their lives to the virus since March 2020.

There were 185 active cases on Saturday, of which 178 patients have been told to isolate themselves in their homes while seven are admitted to private hospitals.

The recovery rate of Covid patients has gone down to 97.76 per cent.

Till date, a total of 37,06,107 samples have been taken, of which 35,80,781 samples were found negative.

Samples of 4,240 suspected patients were sent for testing today, the results of which are expected shortly.
