High drama over poor cleanliness at hospital

High drama was witnessed at Mother and Child Hospital, Vardhman, where Covid-19 patients protested poor sanitation in the Covid wards.

A patient said the bed sheets were not changed regularly and the condition of pillows was extremely bad.

“Dust has gathered all around in the ward as sweeping and mopping is not done regularly. Besides, the condition of bathrooms is really bad. Amidst such conditions, even a healthy person will fall ill,” he said.

Officiating SMO Ajit Singh said some patients were to be shifted to the second floor but they went upstairs before everything there could be cleaned.

“We ensure that everything is cleaned before the patients are shifted,” he said.
