Ludhiana, July 25

Fortyfive more persons tested positive for Covid while no loss of life was reported in the district on Monday.

A total of 1,12,089 persons have tested positive and 2,999 patients have lost their lives to the deadly virus since March 2020 in the district.

There were 312 active cases on Monday, of which 299 have been asked to isolate themselves in their homes by the Health Department while 13 are admitted to private hospitals.

The recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has gone down to 97.05 per cent.

A total of 37,89,796 samples have been taken so far, of which 36,62,725 were found negative.

Samples of 2,142 suspected patients were sent for testing today, the results of which are expected shortly.
