Ludhiana: Five motorcycles were reportedly stolen from different parts of the city during the last three days, while the police arrested two persons involved in theft of two-wheelers and mobile snatchings on Sunday. Two stolen motorcycles and nine mobile phones were recovered from them. One Royal Enfield motorcycle (PB-10DW-3086) was stolen from in front of a hardware store at Saggu Chowk on Sunday. One Hero Splendour motorcycle (PB-10FR-6537) was stolen outside a shop in Kunti Nagar on Lohara Road. Another Hero Splendour motorcycle (PB-10DV-7904) was stolen from outside a house in Sukhdev Nagar on Friday. One Bajaj Platina motorcycle (PB-10EB-2478 was stolen from outside Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital in Model Town on Saturday, while a Bajaj Discover motorcycle (PB-91A-0310) was stolen from outside Gurdwara Nanaksar at Samrala Chowk on Sunday. The police have registered cases under Section 379. Meanwhile, the police caught two persons involved in theft of two-wheelers and snatching mobile phones, cash and other valuables from the Vijay Nagar locality on Sunday and charged them under Sections 379, 379-B, 411 and 473 of the IPC. The accused were identified as Neeraj Mehta, resident of New National Colony, and Sagar Arora, resident of Star City Colony. OC
