Ludhiana, January 19

Some persons set five two-wheelers (four motorcycles and one Activa scooter) on fire at the Giaspura flats last night.

Shivam, owner of one of the motorcycles, said the incident occurred around 11.30 pm. “There was pandemonium outside. When I came out of my house, I was shocked to see my motorcycle on fire. Not only mine, four others two-wheelers in the area were also set on fire. Although we managed to douse the flames, the bikes were completely damaged,” said Shivam.

Residents suspect that it could be the handiwork of miscreants living in the same locality. The police were given the names of some suspects. A police team visited the spot.
