56 get tips at free check up camp

A one-day free check-up and consultation camp for neuro-psychiatric disorders was organised here today.

Dr Anshul Mahajan, Consultant neuro-psychiatrist, evaluated over 56 patients in the camp. Consultancy for neuropsychiatric issues like stroke, epilepsy, migraine and headache was given.

Majority of patients were of migraine and epilepsy. While addressing the group session, he discussed various types of headaches and epileptic seizures, their causes and management with patients.

He gave some useful tips for prevention of cognitive deficits through regular exercise, healthy diet, proper sleep, yoga, meditation, reduced use of mobile phone and internet, keeping healthy interpersonal and social relationship and absenteeism from drugs and alcohol use.
