The joint efforts of the district administration, police department, agriculture department, HDFC’s CSR brand Parivartan and CII Foundation have led to a significant reduction in stubble burning in Khanna with 75 villages achieving an impressive 95% non-burning status.

SDM Khanna Baljinder Singh Dhillon, who is currently under transfer, shared that non-burning reached about 95% in the current season. “Only two cases were reported-one turned out to be from Fatehgarh sahib and the other a false report with no fire incident,” the SDM shared.
