Ludhiana, June 19

The five-day pulse polio drive began in the district today. Children in the age group of 0-5 years will be administered polio drops during the drive.

Civil Surgeon Dr SP Singh said 1,500 teams would visit various parts of the district to administer drops to children during these five days. A total of 75,000 children were administered drops on Day 1 today.

During the drive, the team would visit 8,60,912 houses and the department was targeting to be administered polio drops to 3,52,765 children during the drive.
