782 appear for master cadre exam

Ludhiana, December 28

For the posts of master cadre, about 782 candidates appeared from Ludhiana for the exam of English. There are about 3,704 posts of master cadre for which over 6,000 candidates from across the state got themselves registered.

The exam was conducted smoothly at almost all centres here today. Various government schools in the district were made the centres for the convenience of the candidates.

Though 914 candidates had got themselves registered for today’s exam, 782 appeared and 132 were absent. The attendance percentage was 85.56 per cent.

For the smooth conduct of the exam, the Ludhiana police had banned the assembly of five or more persons within a 200-m radius of the examination centres under Section 144 of the CrPC.
