8 masked men loot cash from medical store

LUDHIANA: Eight armed men barged into a clinic at Adarsh Nagar and looted cash and mobile phones.

Eight armed men barged into a clinic at Adarsh Nagar and looted cash and mobile phones. The clinic owner suffered minor injuries as he tried to resist the armed robbers. The police have registered a case of loot and Arms Act.

The investigating officer, ASI Paramjit Singh, said the incident occurred around 11.45 am on August 10. Eight armed men wearing masks entered Bengali Medical Store. Brandishing a pistol and sharp weapons, they took away Rs 10,000 cash and four mobile phones.

According to the preliminary investigation, of eight robbers, one was wearing a turban. Local residents said the robbers had not come on any vehicle and they were seen walking out of the clinic after the robbery. Clinic owner Nand Kishore, a resident of Adarsh Colony, told the police that he, along with his two employees, was sitting inside the clinic when the armed men arrived there and forcibly took away cash and mobile phones. He said he had enmity with none and it could be a random strike.
