Ludhiana, April 7

Ludhiana Police Commissioner Rakesh Agrawal conducted a survey in the curfew-bound industrial hub to identify the areas where maximum curfew violations were observed. The survey found that minimal curfew violations were found on the main city roads, while major violations were registered on the internal streets and mohallas.

The survey also recorded the time slot during which violators were seen roaming outside their houses. After the survey, CP Agrawal decided to form a special strategy to curtail the violations so that social distancing could be followed in letter and spirit.

“I got a survey conducted which identified 91 areas, roads mainly internal streets and mohallas, where people were found violating curfew. Even the timing of violation has also been recorded. To enforce curfew in these surveyed areas, we already have 1,000 curfew management officers, now 2,000 more such officers from Ludhiana who will ensure that people in these 91 spots do not come out of their houses without any purpose,” he said.
