Commissioning of two Aam Aadmi Clinics at separate localities of the town has come as a boon for residents seeking free primary healthcare medicines and diagnostic tests, besides easing the burden on the community health centre providing healthcare services to over 40 localities.
Residents of Dehliz Road, Galla Mandi, Bajrang Akhara Road, Sat Narayan Mandir Mohalla, Bali Ram da Ahata, Batta Bagh and Jawahar Nagar are appreciative that they are able to avail of the benefits of preliminary treatment for their routine ailments at a walking distance from their residences now.
Members of the middle class segment of society and lower strata are among the beneficiaries of facilities being provided at the Aam Aadmi Clinic established at Janta College for Women and suvidha kendra near Bajrang Akhara.
MC president Vikas Krishan Sharma said residents of Old Mandi area were appreciative of Amargarh MLA Jaswant Singh Gajjanmajra, whose efforts to establish two Aam Aadmi Clinics bore fruit when both clinics were inaugurated digitally by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann recently.
Referring to the information received from the authorities in the Health Department, Sharma claimed that all services, including out-patient department, collection of samples for diagnostic services, administration of anti-rabies vaccine and prenatal and postnatal examination, have been started at both clinics.
Authorities at the clinics asserted that adequate paramedical staff had been deployed to support medical officers at each centre.
Diagnostic tests referred by the medical officer at the OPD are also conducted by the clinic, but the samples collected here are sent to diagnostic laboratories, which are already in arrangement with the Health Department. Reports of the tests are normally sent on the mobile phone of the patient within one day, maintained the authorities.
