Agrineers shine in CAT exam

LUDHIANA: Three students of the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) have brought laurels to the university by securing admission in prestigious management institutions of the country after clearing a national-level common admission test (CAT).

Three students of the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) have brought laurels to the university by securing admission in prestigious management institutions of the country after clearing a national-level common admission test (CAT).

The students are Nishima Kathuria, Abhishek Chanchal and Vanshika Sharma. Nishima Kathuria, a 2018 pass out, has secured admission in the postgraduate programme in food and agri-business management at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A). Vanshika Sharma, a final year student of the college, has got admission in the Institute of Rural Management, Anand, for pursuing her postgraduate diploma in rural management. Abhishek Chanchal, a student of BTech (agri engineering) final year, has also cleared his CAT exam and is expecting selection in one of the top IIMs as well.

During a session organised by the alumni association of the college, all three students shared their journey with the audience and guided the budding agrineers on how to proceed with CAT exam preparation. The Dean of College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Dr Ashok Kumar, congratulated the students.

The vice-president of Alumni Association, Dr Satish Kumar Gupta, said the association had been conducting such sessions to tap the expertise of alumni for professional betterment of budding agrineers. The executive committee of the Alumni Association presented a token of appreciation to the three students.
