Ahmedgarh all set to host cultural event

MANDI AHMEDGARH: Organisers of the Professor Mohan Singh International Cultural Fare have started the preparations for the 40th chapter of the carnival, which is scheduled to commence at Gobind National College in Narangwal village near here from Monday.

Organisers of the Professor Mohan Singh International Cultural Fare have started the preparations for the 40th chapter of the carnival, which is scheduled to commence at Gobind National College in Narangwal village near here from Monday.

The two-day event will be inaugurated with the garlanding of Prof Mohan Singh statue at Aarti Chowk in Ludhiana.

A meeting was held on the college campus to oversee the arrangements of the event, which is held at different venues every year. Jagpal Singh Khangura, president of the college management, and Pargat Singh Grewal, president professor from the Manmohan Singh Memorial Foundation, were conveners of the meeting.

Kila Raipur former Market Committee chairman and joint secretary of the management committee said preparations for the two-day cultural extravaganza had been started and subcommittees for various avenues had been constituted, under the patronage of college Principal Dr Hardiljit Singh Gosal.
