The annual meeting of the Punjab Amateur Bodybuilding Association was held here at Libra Health Club on Ferozepur Road today. Ravi Kumar Prashar, general secretary of the association, who had been in Canada for some time, has now returned and resumed his duties.

Ravi is once again actively organising bodybuilding championships across Punjab. He said that holding regular bodybuilding competitions would help encourage the youth of Punjab to develop an interest in fitness and stay away from drugs.

“New office-bearers will soon be appointed,” he said. It was decided during the meeting to organise the India Classic Bodybuilding Championship at Morinda and the responsibility for this event was taken by Akshay Joshi, general secretary, Morinda District Bodybuidling Association.
