Initiators of Change, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation (MC), will organise “Kala Gali - Ludhiana Art Festival 2026” at Southend Gardens here on April 10 and 11, said organisers.
The organisers announced the dates on Wednesday during an event the Guru Nanak Bhawan Mini Auditorium here. According to the organisers, the two-day festival is aimed at celebrating the creativity of young artists and providing them with a platform to showcase their talents.
Mayor Inderjit Kaur and Gauravdeep Singh, chairperson, Initiators of Change, unveiled the official dates for the event.
The festival will feature over 150 young artists, under the age of 30, presenting their work across multiple categories, including photography, painting, digital illustration, resin art, nail art, crochet, craft, pottery art and clothing art.
Mayor Kaur appreciated the efforts of the NGO and urged the citizens to participate in the festival. She said the MC will work hand in hand with the NGO to ensure that young artists of the city get the platform they deserve.
Gauravdeep Singh said, “Artists here often struggle to find platforms where they can exhibit their work as many exhibitions in the city are financially inaccessible for young creators. Through Kala Gali, we want to create an affordable and inclusive space where talented young individuals can showcase their creativity and connect with the community.”
