Punjab government is committed to the development of citizens, Minister of Social Security, Women and Child Development Aruna Chaudhary said at a Republic Day function at Ludhiana on Sunday.
Chaudhary was the chief guest at the event that was held at Guru Nanak Stadium.
The minister said a smart school had been inaugurated in Ludhiana on Saturday, and that more would be opened over the next few days. She also announced a grant of Rs 10 lakh for the students who participated in Sunday’s event.
Police commissioner launched a traffic marshal scheme under which civilians will get a chance to participate in the traffic management.
