Athletics meet concludes

Ludhiana, December 6

Simran Kaur and Ajay Kumar were declared best athletes in the U-19 category while Bushatri and Karandeep Singh were adjudged best athletes in the U-16 group during the annual athletics meet of SDP Schools on Wednesday.

Students of SDP Senior Secondary School, Hazuri Road, SDP Senior Secondary School, Basti Jodhewal, and those from OP Gupta Model Senior Secondary School, Quilla Mohalla, branches run by the SDP Sabha, took part in different sport disciplines.

Ludhiana Assistant Commissioner of Police (Women cell) Dharam Pal was the chief guest while Dr Charanjit Singh, Deputy District Education Officer (Secondary) gave away prizes to the winners.

Balraj Kumar Bhasin, president, SDP Sabha, presided over the event. Vijendra Gupta, Dhari Shah Singla and SM Sharma among others were present on the occasion.
