Event highlights women empowerment and inclusivity, supporting underprivileged children with special needs
Baba Jaswant Singh Dental College and Hospital, Ludhiana, celebrated International Women’s Day with a programme dedicated to empowerment, dignity, and social responsibility. Organised in collaboration with Teri Oat Divyang Sanstha, the event focused on supporting underprivileged children with special needs, providing them care, learning opportunities, and a platform to showcase their creativity.
Students and faculty engaged the children in drawing and mehndi activities, highlighting their enthusiasm and confidence.
Chairman Baba Dr. Anhadraj Singh addressed the gathering, emphasising the vital role of women in shaping society and expressing concern over female foeticide. He said that the progress of a society can be measured by the respect, dignity, and opportunities it provides to its daughters.
Principal Dr. Namita Singh reiterated the importance of empowering women and supporting children with special needs.
