Badminton tourney: Seeded players sail into next round

LUDHIANA: All seeded players had smooth sailing, facing no challenge from their opponents in the boys singles U-11 and U-13, besides in the boys doubles U-15 categories, on the second day of the Sub-Junior Ludhiana District Badminton Tournament being held at Shastri Hall near Guru Nanak Stadium here on Friday.

All seeded players had smooth sailing, facing no challenge from their opponents in the boys singles U-11 and U-13, besides in the boys doubles U-15 categories, on the second day of the Sub-Junior Ludhiana District Badminton Tournament being held at Shastri Hall near Guru Nanak Stadium here on Friday.

Before the start of today’s proceedings, players, their parents and coaches observed two-minute silence to pay tributes to the former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who died on Thursday.
