Ludhiana: BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar became the proud host of 'Wipro Earthian Award Ceremony', in collaboration with Wipro, for selected schools of Ludhiana. Paramjit Kaur, principal, in her address, dwelled upon the need for sharing the vision of creating an informed society by nurturing sustainability ideas with a core objective of integrating sustainability education into the school curriculum. She complimented the school principals for preparing the young generation to understand current environmental challenges and build knowledge and skills through action-oriented projects.

Annual Sports Day held

Students from Classes III to XII, representing different houses, took part in various sports events and fun games, during the annual sports day of Sri Guru Harkrishan Public Senior Secondary School, Doraha, on Saturday. Participates from the Sutlej house secured maximum points to bag the overall trophy. A volleyball match was organised between students of Class XII and teachers, in which the students emerged triumphant. Prizes were distributed among the position holders. They were given medals and certificates. Gagandeep Kaur and Paramjit Kaur Sekhon, vice principal and senior coordinator, respectively, congratulated the winners and advised the students to take part actively in games for the overall development. They thanked the school staff for conducting the event successfully.

Students display rangoli skills

Sacred Soul Convent Senior Secondary School, Dugri-Dhandra Road, organised a rangoli competition under 'Hubs of Learning' which was based on the theme,’Mother's Love’. In this competition, students of different schools of Ludhiana participated. The students made beautiful rangoli pattern on the concept of love and respect for mothers where Green Land Convent School, Chandigarh Road stood first, Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, Ludhiana stood second and Saint Bir Santosh Public School, Bhamian Kalan, stood third. Chairman of the School Gurmail Singh Gill and Director Sukhdeep Gill honoured the winners. TNS
