Ludhiana: A man posing as gangster Goldy Brar called a businessman of Jagraon and demanded Rs 10 lakh extortion. Gurpal Singh of Royal Villa, Jagraon, in a complaint to the police alleged that on July 29, he got a WhatsApp call from some international number and the caller posed himself as Goldy Brar. He demanded Rs 10 lakh extortion money else threatened to kill all his family members. He also sent a bank account number for depositing the money. A case has been registered. TNS
Jail inmate attacked
Ludhiana: Mandeep Singh of Lohara, who is lodged in the Central Jail here in a drug case, said on Monday night when he was returning to his barracks, some inmates told him to clean utensils and when he refused to do the same, they attacked him.
