BJP’s district unit chief Rajnish Dhiman led the delegation that also included former district chief Parveen Bansal and councillor Suman Verma.
The delegation informed Gupta that a contractor had stopped work in Ward Number 70 after instructions from the local Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA. They alleged the work started a few days ago and was abandoned by the contractor two days back. When councillor Verma approached the contractor, he refused to resume the work, the delegation alleged.
The MC chief assured the BJP leaders that development work in their ward will re-start at the earliest.
