The Malwa Social Club organised a blood donation camp in Cambridge Public School at Chomon village on Tuesday.

As many as 60 volunteers donated blood on the occasion. The camp was inaugurated by Sant Sukhdev Singh Ber Kalan and Payal MLA Lakhvir Singh Lakha was the chief guest. Doctors from the Lord Mahavir Civil Hospital, Ludhiana, collected blood from volunteers after conducting preliminary investigations.

MLA Lakha and Sant Sukhdev appreciated that rural residents were becoming aware about significance of donating blood.

“As the gap between number of donors and recipients has been increasing, society needs more donors from rural localities,” said the MLA.

The donors were felicitated by the organisers.
