Centuries by Ravtej Singh and Hemant Verma and a devastating bowling display powered Ludhiana to a 258-run rout of Mansa on Tuesday.

The two teams were facing off at GRD Academy ground here in the third league match of Group D in the Inter-District U-19 One-Day Limited Overs Cricket Tournament.
Vansh Rana and Parveen Giri were the standout bowlers for Ludhiana.
Put in to bat first after Mansa won the toss, Ludhiana overcame lost opener Jasdeep Singh (33) after a brisk 90-run partnership with Karandeep Singh Sidhu. Karandeep provided the initial momentum with an aggressive 58 off just 40 balls, laced with six fours and three sixes.
The innings was then taken over by Ravtej Singh and Hemant Verma, who stitched together a magnificent 177-run stand for the third wicket and took the game away from Mansa.
Rantej anchored the innings with a fluent 109 off 100 deliveries, striking nine boundaries and two sixes. Hemant matched him stroke for stroke, compiling a classy 105 off 106 balls, studded with 10 fours and four sixes.
The duo’s partnership laid the foundation for a formidable total of 329 for six in the allotted 50 overs. Late cameos from Sargunveer Singh and the lower order ensured Ludhiana crossed the 300-run mark comfortably.
For Mansa, Mohit Kumar and Gurmanpreet Singh Sidhu claimed two wickets each. Parampreet Singh Dhaliwal and Himanshu Sharma picked up a wicket apiece.
Faced with a daunting target of 330, Mansa’s batting crumbled under sustained pressure from Ludhiana’s disciplined bowling attack. Wickets fell at regular intervals, reducing the visitors to 40 for four even before they suffered a dramatic collapse.
Only Samarth Singh Mansahahia offered some resistance with 21 runs. He was the sole batter to get into double figures. The remaining batters failed to cope with the relentless accuracy of the Ludhiana bowlers as Mansa were bowled out for 71.
Vansh Rana and Parveen Giri, who shared eight wickets between them, were the key bowlers for Ludhiana. Vansh produced a sensational spell of four for 11 in eight overs, including four maidens. Parveen returned impressive figures of four for 23 in eight overs. Adhiraj Singh Mangat and Yuvraj Pal chipped in with a wicket each.
For the fourth and last league match, Ludhiana will host Barnala on July 16.
