MC Commissioner Pardeep Kumar Sabharwal has suspended a building inspector for allegedly failing to take action against illegal constructions.
The inspector has been suspended for not taking action against illegal constructions as per the MC Act 1976 and also for causing financial loss to the civic body due to his “negligence” in performing his duty.
As per the orders issued, Harjeet Singh, the building inspector at the MC’s Zone B failed to take action against illegal constructions at Timber Market on Shingar Cinema to Samrala Chowk Road and Pal Department Store on Rahon Road.
