Ludhiana: Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management (SACCM) announced the exceptional academic achievements of its BCom Semester III students in the Panjab University examinations. Diksha Chugh bagged the first rank in the university, followed by Radha Arora in the fifth position, Kanish Makkar in the 10th rank, Harsimar Kaur in the 11th, Pragati Goyal in the 12th, and both Diya Nathani and Ridhamrose Kaur Pahwa bagged the 16th rank at the university level. Congratulating the students, Principal Vishal Kumar shared that each student had showcased their academic strength, proving that dedication and persistence always yielded great rewards.

The discussion traversed the evolving paradigm of animation, characterised by innovative trends, cutting-edge techniques, and emerging tools. The session highlighted the imperative of embracing technological advancements, including AI, 3D rendering, and immersive experiences, to maintain a competitive edge in the industry. Arora also shared her expertise on the nascent trends in animation, empowering students with knowledge on the emerging animation landscape. The interactive session inspired students to leverage technological advancements, refine their skills, and pursue successful careers in the dynamic field.

Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC) announced the outstanding performance of its team ‘Gensonic’ in BAJA 2025, organised by SAEINDIA. Competing against 48 teams from across the nation, the team secured the third position in the sales category, fourth in the cost category, and 17th in the endurance event. The competition was held at Pithampur, Indore. The event provided a platform for participants to demonstrate their innovation, technical expertise, and engineering capabilities in designing and building all-terrain vehicles. Team Gensonic’s achievements reflected their dedication, teamwork, and engineering excellence. Adding to the accolades, Dr Jatinder Pal, the faculty advisor of the team, was recognised among the top five faculty advisors at the event. Dr Sehijpal Singh, Principal, GNDEC, extended his best wishes for the team’s future projects and encouraged them to continue their journey towards excellence. Dr Harmeet Singh, Head, Mechanical and Production Engineering Department, congratulated the students and their mentors for their creativity and perseverance.

BCM Arya School

The Bank of Baroda, regional office, honoured Ayaan Toor and Ravnoor Kaur of BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Ludhiana, with a scholarship of Rs 3000 for their outstanding performance in Class X. The scholarship was awarded under the aegis of the Bharat Ratna Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Trust. An award ceremony was organised at the school, which was attended by key officials from the bank’s Ludhiana branch, including Deputy General Manager (Compliance and Assurance) Govind Prasad Verma, HR officer Shweta, and Rajbhasha officer Pankaj Verma, who presented the scholarship cheques to the students. During the ceremony, students were motivated with the inspiring story of Pranav Surma, a dedicated employee of the bank who overcame challenges to achieve success. The scholarship recipients also shared their thoughts, emphasising the importance of focusing on all subjects rather than just one to achieve overall excellence.

DAV Public School

DAV Public School, BRS Nagar secured the national winners trophy at the CBSE Science Exhibition 2025, held at Amity International School, Gurgaon, from January 30 to February 1. The school’s project, ‘Sashakt Bharat – Saving Lives in Speedy Lanes,’ stood out. Addressing critical issues in transportation safety and security, the model integrated four key components designed to enhance road and rail safety. The project was presented by Kyna Dhingra and Bharat Kapoor (Class VIII), who showcased exceptional confidence, technical knowledge, and clarity in explaining the concept. Their innovation was widely appreciated by judges and fellow participants.

HVM Global School

HVM Global School was abuzz with excitement and devotion as it celebrated Basant Panchami, a festival dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom and learning. The entire school radiated positivity, adorned in vibrant yellow decorations, reflecting the spirit of spring and prosperity. The day commenced with a special morning assembly, where students presented a soulful rendition of Saraswati Vandana, seeking the blessings of the goddess for knowledge and enlightenment. The serene chants created an atmosphere of devotion, setting the perfect tone for the celebrations. Students of Balvatika, dressed in yellow attire, participated in various activities. The school echoed with the sounds of joy as young learners embraced the essence of the festival with zeal. An exciting general knowledge quiz contest fostering knowledge and teamwork among students was the highlight of the day. The competition featured four teams, competing in five rounds. The winning teams were awarded for their outstanding performance. The event concluded with a speech by Principal Pragati Kapoor, who emphasised the importance of knowledge, learning, and cultural celebrations in shaping young minds. President DP Sharma, chairperson Meena Sharma, and director Radhika Jain extended warm wishes to all and emphasised the importance of preserving traditions.

DCM Young Entrepreneurs School
