Ludhiana: The girl students of Kamla Lohtia Sanatan Dharam College brought fame to their college by medals in the weightlifting competition in different weight categories in the ongoing district-level Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan. Three students from the college — Ujala, Priyanka and Nancy took part in these games in the U-21 section and finished on the victory podium. Ujala, student of BA I won the gold in below 59kg weight category, Priyanka, also student of BA I secured the silver in below 49kg weight group and Nancy, student of BCA I, fetched the bronze medal in below 45kg weight section.

Dav public school

DAV Public School, Pakhowal road, in collaboration with ASG Eye Care Hospital organised an eye checkup camp for its students on. The camp was initiated under the able supervision of optometrist Navdeep Kaur to promote eye health. Navdeep Kaur and her team examined the vision of the students and guided them how to protect their eyes from exposure to seasonal infections and gadgets.The medical team also shared some of the prominent indicators with the teachers that could help them to identify students with defective vision so that the problem could be treated at an early stage.
