Sewa society organises wedding of 2 poor girls

KHANNA: The Nishkam Kirtan Sewa Society, a Khanna-based social organisation, organised collective weddings of two girls from humble backgrounds at Shahpur village near here.

The Nishkam Kirtan Sewa Society, a Khanna-based social organisation, organised collective weddings of two girls from humble backgrounds at Shahpur village near here.

Gurpreet Singh Bhulla, Senior Superintendent of Police , Fatehgarh Sahib, was the chief guest.

He extended his good wishes to the newly-wedded couples.

The Senior Superintendent of Police appreciated the efforts of the organisation towards this noble cause and appealed to other social organisations to come forward for such causes. Society president Karamjit Singh Bitu said their organisation was working for a number of social causes, including the weddings of poor girls, organising free camps for cutting and embroidery learning, distributing tricycles, organising blood donation camps, etc.

Karamjit Singh Bitu said the society had so far organised 194 collective and mass weddings for the needy. Society Vice-President Ravinder Singh Ravi were present.
