Ludhiana, July 11

Members of Punjab Roadways, PUNBUS and PRTC Contract Workers Union, Punjab, took out a protest rally in front of the gate of the Ludhiana depot on Monday. The depot president of the union, Satnam Singh, and others said AAP after forming the government in the state did not fulfil the promises that were made to contractual employees before the state Assembly elections.

The protesting employees said their jobs were not being regularised by the AAP government. They said even their salaries were not released on time.

They alleged that the employees were working hard but the salary had not been yet released.

The protesters said if their salaries were not released by July 13, they would be forced to close the bus stand to mark their protest. They would intensify the agitation if the government did not pay attention to their demands even after the July 13 protest.
