Cop trying to nab wanted suspect attacked, 3 held

A policeman went to nab a suspect wanted in a criminal case was attacked by the latter and his family members at Bonkar Gujran village.

Pritam Singh, Amarjit Singh and Gurpreet Singh, were arrested while Lovely, Jasveer Kaur, Mano, Karamvir, Sarabjit Singh, Hoshiar, Paramjit Singh, Bhuljit Singh and Jaswant Singh, all residents of Bonkar Gujran, were on the run in the case.

The complainant, head constable Manoj Kumar, said he, along with a police party, had gone to nab Lovely, wanted in an extortion and cheating case, on April 10 at Bankar Gujran village. When they reached the village, Lovely, along with others, surrounded him. They also manhandled him and tore his uniform. Three suspects were arrested and raids were being conducted to nab others.

A fresh case was registered against the suspects under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
