Officials at the cyber police station conducted a complaint disposal camp on Monday. In the camp, about 150 complaints were disposed of by the team. The team of officials listened to the grievances of people and provided them with on-the-spot solutions.
Inspector Satbir said the cyber police station started this initiative to clear pending complaints and to provide early resolution to the victims of cyber fraud. “Now this camp would be organised every fortnight so that justice can be delivered to victims at the earliest. About 150 complaints were disposed of during the camp,” added Satbir.
Cyber officials said that complainants were also informed about prevalent cyber frauds and ways to steer clear of these. People were also made aware about digital arrest, investment fraud, WhatsApp hacking, social media account security and protection from online fraud. Officials said there has been a rapid increase in cybercrimes during the festive months, hence technical vigilance was important.
