Ludhiana, June 2
An elderly couple was found burnt in their house at Haibowal this afternoon. Both were rushed to the Christian Medical College and Hospital. Their condition was said to be critical.
Sunil Jain and his wife Chanchal Jain live with their son Sourabh and his wife Minakshi on the first floor while another son Neeraj and his wife live on the ground floor. According to the police, Sunil is suffering from paralysis and he uses an electric bed.
Sub-inspector Malkit Singh said in the morning, Chanchal informed the PCR that her daughter-in-law was torturing her. In the afternoon, the couple was found burnt.
The duo has suffered 85 per cent burns. — TNS
