Covid: One loses life, 66 test positive in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, July 26

One person lost his life to Covid while 66 more persons tested positive for the virus in the district.

A total of 1,12,155 persons have tested positive and 3,000 persons have lost their lives to the deadly virus since March 2020 in the district. There were 325 active cases on Tuesday, of which 308 have been asked to isolate themselves in their homes while 17 are admitted to private hospitals.

The recovery rate of Covid-19 patients has gone down to 97.04 per cent.

Till date, a total of 37,93,474 samples have been taken, of which 36,66,530 were found negative.

Samples of 3,678 suspected patients were sent for testing today, the results of which are expected shortly.
