Creativity, fervour mark Raksha Bandhan celebrations at DAV Public School

Ludhiana: Overwhelming Raksha Bandhan activities were organised by DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana, for students on August 2. The siblings exhibited their creativity and emotions through beautiful handmade rakhis, e-cards, greeting envelopes, etc. at their homes. They exchanged loving and affectionate messages with their siblings. To increase the thrill of the celebrations, a rakhi-making competition was organised for Classes VI-VIII. Boys too came forward to participate in the activities enthusiastically and crafted amazing presents for their sisters to reciprocate their love. The festivity held its charm even amid the pandemic. Teachers deeply appreciated the craft works of the students which were shared by them online. Principal Satwant Kaur Bhullar said the youth must understand the significance of familial ties. Trust, respect, equality and courtesy establish strong relationships and festivals such as Raksha Bandhan keep reminding people of their importance in their lives. — TNS
