Ludhiana, June 13

Local Bodies Minister Brahm Mohindra today directed the officials to change their mindset in order to address the grievances of residents.

Mohindra chaired the first District Grievances Redressal Committee meeting at Bachat Bhawan.

He said, “Every administration is the part of the government through which the latter implements its welfare schemes and policies. It is observed that rather than solving the issues of people on a priority basis, officials indulge in dilly-dallying tactics. This angers people and brings disrepute to the government.”

He asked the officials to have a positive approach while redressing the grievances of a common man at district level.

He directed the Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner to make all members aware about the welfare schemes and programmes of the Punjab Government in the next meeting.

Mohindra said meeting of District Grievances Redressal Committee would be held every month and responsibility of the officials concerned would be fixed.
