Alleged accomplices of suspended DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar, including individuals linked to the management and transactions of his immovable properties, were targeted in raids conducted by sleuths of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) early Monday morning.
The ED carried out searches at multiple locations in Ludhiana district, as well as other parts of the state, and questioned persons associated with the handling and transactions of properties allegedly belonging to Bhullar.
The office of Bhupinder Singh Rathaur, BC Wing leader of the Aam Aadmi Party at Machhiwara, a residence of a linked person in Baukar village, and another premises belonging to one Resham Singh were searched during a nearly six-hour operation.
Sources revealed that ED officials reached Rathaur’s office in Machhiwara at around 7 am, with Rathaur arriving shortly after the team’s entry.
While no official statement has been released regarding the outcome of the raids, sources indicated that premises of individuals linked to the management and transactions of Bhullar’s properties were searched.
Sources further disclosed that a separate ED team conducted a raid at premises belonging to hockey player Krishnu in Nabha, Patiala district, whose name had reportedly surfaced as a facilitator in several alleged illegal deals involving Bhullar following his arrest.
