Ludhiana, April 21
Two bike-borne snatchers targeted an elderly woman at Punjab Mata Nagar yesterday and snatched her gold earring. She also suffered a minor injury on one ear during the incident. The victim, Surinder Kaur (67), a resident of Punjab Mata Nagar on Dugri Road, told the police that on Tuesday morning when she was standing outside her house, two-bike borne persons, who were wearing turbans and masks, suddenly pounced on her and snatched her one earring.
When they tried to snatch the second earring, she raised an alarm after which they fled the spot.
The woman said the miscreants had also conducted a recce before committing the crime.
The victim said after the incident, the Dugri police were informed about the crime and the police reached the spot.
The accused were also captured in CCTV cameras and the police were checking the footage to identify them. — TNS
