Taking steps to ensure cleanliness across the city, including deployment of night patrolling teams, Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal issued strict directions to contactors concerned to ensure proper functioning of static compactors and timely lifting of garbage from the city.

The directions were issued during a meeting held at MC Zone D office in Sarabha Nagar on Tuesday. Joint Commissioner Vineet Kumar, SE Sham Lal Gupta and civic body contractors were present in the meeting.

Strict directions have been issued to the contractors that action will be taken against them for any kind of laxity in terms of the above stated works. Feedback was also taken from the contractors and officials were directed to resolve the ground at the earliest.

Further directions have also been issued to expedite the work of processing legacy and fresh waste at the main dump site of the civic body on Tajpur road.

MC Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal stated that regular efforts were being made to improve solid waste management in the city.
