Factory workers to hold protest on Aug 20

Workers under the banner of Karkhana Mazdoor Union will hold a protest outside the Labour Department on August 20. Lakhwinder, President, Karkhana Mazdoor Union, said one of the rubber factories in Jugiana had exploited the workers and the protest was against the unit. He said the unit owner had abruptly stopped the production and the workers were not provided salaries for several months. “We will protest against the unit outside the Labour Department for our rights,” he said. — TNS
