‘Fake’ case against son: Woman assured probe



Ludhiana, October 15

After a woman climbed atop an overhead water tank on the Amloh road, Khanna, alleging fake registration of a theft case against her son, the police assured her that the matter will be probed.

On Wednesday, Happy of Turmuri village of Payal, carrying a bottle of petrol had climbed atop the water tank. She had alleged that the police had falsely implicated her son in a criminal case and the police were demanding bribe from her to release her son.

The police had reached the spot and gave her assurance.

Meanwhile, a case under Section 309, IPC, was also registered against her. — TNS
