Chaos erupted on Saturday evening at Ajit Cycle Factory in Ludhiana’s Industrial Area-B, near Pahwa Hospital, when a fire broke out followed by an explosion. The factory’s foreman, Rajit Ram Verma (60), who was working inside, died in the accident.
Fire brigade and police teams reached the scene, and ACP Satwinder Singh surveyed the area. The factory, located in Matharu Gali, had been operating for some time. The fire is believed to have started around 7.30 pm, and an explosion occurred shortly after, killing Verma instantly.

The fire brigade team worked to extinguish the flames. The police and fire brigade are investigating the cause of the accident.
