A webinar titled Prayaas – an endeavour to release pension on the day of superannuation — has been initiated by the Employee Provident Fund Office wherein the members of Employee Pension Scheme 1995 who are superannuating within three months are invited.

Dheeraj Gupta, Regional PF Commissioner, said the organisation aims to achieve ‘Pension on the day of superannuation’ to members. Therefore, the employers and employees were contacted to make them aware about the documents they have to provide and the process involved in settlement of pension claims.

In such webinars, representatives of the establishments who are responsible for processing the pension claims on behalf of the employers are also invited.

The purpose of these webinars to educate the members and their employers so that they can submit the pension claims complete in all aspect and the EPFO can issue the pension pay orders (PPO) on the day of superannuation.

Sumeet Singh, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-II, on Friday distributed pension pay order (PPO) to five employees of different establishments such as Ralson (India) Ltd, Oswal Wollen Mills, Munjal Casting, Monga brothers under the initiative.

He urged establishments such as PAU, GADVASU, Oswal Wollen Mills, Ganga Acro Ltd, etc., which are covered under the EPF Act, 1952, under the jurisdiction of Regional Office, Ludhiana, to file ECR before 15th of the month in which employee is retiring so that PPO can be prepared.
