Ludhiana: Four mobile phones have been recovered from inmates of the Ludhiana Central Jail during a surprise checking. These inmates have been identified as Raj Kumar, Sagar Singh, Govinda and Gurdeep Singh. Assistant Jail Superintendent Parduman Kumar said investigation had been launched to find who helped the inmates to get the phones in the jail. TNS
Peddler held with heroin
Ludhiana: The Tibba police have nabbed a drug peddler with 7 gram of heroin. He has been identified as Kuldeep Kumar Pappu of New Subash Nagar. The police said during routine patrolling in Subash Nagar, Kuldeep was stopped for checking which led to the recovery of the heroin. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered against him. TNS
