Renowned film director and cinematographer Manmohan Singh on Saturday said that short films are catching up fast among the audience and the future belongs to them

Manmohan Singh was addressing the media after inaugurating the 4th Short Film Festival at Ishmeet Singh Music Institute of Ludhiana. He asked the film-makers to try their hands at short films and the audience for short films has been increasing over time.

He said films were an important medium which presented the scenario of a society before the audience.

The film festival has been organised by Our Space Cinema, in association with Ishmeet Singh Music Institute. As many as 11 short films were screened during the first day of the festival. “We aim to promote short films among people. All 11 short films screened on Saturday received a good response from people,” said Pardeep Singh from Our Space Cinema.

According to Pardeep Singh, 14 short films will be screened during the second day of the festival. Environmentalist Sant Balvir Singh Seechewal will be the chief guest on the last day of the festival.
