LUDHIANA: The Sarabha Nagar police claimed to have busted a gang of vehicle thieves and arrested two of its members.

Ludhiana, July 16

The Sarabha Nagar police claimed to have busted a gang of vehicle thieves and arrested two of its members. The police have recovered four stolen cars and one motorcycle from the gang. Those arrested have been identified as Jaskaran, alias Babbi, of Ishar Singh Nagar, Dharamkot, and Sandeep Sikandar of Kot Isse Khan.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) West Sameer Verma said the police nabbed the accused following a tip-off. The police recovered three Indica cars, one Maruti car, and one Bullet motorcycle from the accused.

The ACP said they would seek police remand of the accused and more stolen cars were likely to be recovered from them.

Meanwhile, the CIA 2 wing nabbed three vehicle thieves, namely Manveer Singh, alias Cheema, of Model Town; Sukhwinder Singh Sukha of Sadar, Jalandhar; and Muneet Singh of Shiv Colony here. One motorcycle and three scooters were recovered from their possession. — TNS
